October 25, 2016

Just loving Tuesdays now. Here is Jordan's news for the week,

On Sunday I was asked to give me first talk in Spanish and I think it went okay. It’s funny how they do things here for talks, during sacrament they call you up at random. My district and I call it the hunger games. But Spanish is coming along..
Today we went to the plaza and we gave out Books of Mormon to the people there. It was super cool to do. As me and Elder Owen were walking away from the first guy that we talked to I said to Elder Owen, "I just spoke words to that guy that I didn’t even know". It’s weird how the spirt works on us missionary’s. In the short time we had we taught only 3 people but all of them are going to talk to the missionary’s in that area. And yeah I was scared going at first but something came over me when me and Elder Owen said a pray before we started to teach and everything was okay. We had 3 Districts when we went there today so there was a lot of us.

My companion is great we are the best of friends and we get along really good and we are able to teach really good with each other. He’s pretty much just like me loves to talk loves to make jokes and always wants to help so it’s awesome. The food has been great I’ve been making myself eat everything. Yeah life is pretty crazy here at the MTC. It’s going to get even more crazy here in 3 weeks. I have actually lost weight here at the MTC. I play a lot of basketball but I have been doing 50 sit ups and 40 push ups every night at sports time. .I have been writing in my journal every night and I think I may need another one during my mission.
Gotta get running to my next class mom. Love you all a ton and miss you every day. Say hi to everyone back home for me and keep Brayden in check as well as all the guys

Here is Jordan's letter from this week..
Hey mom well Spanish is going okay so far. I can say my prayers and my testimony in Spanish and I can now say our mission purpose and a part of the first vision. Which i think is pretty cool. It was a hard start to the week... Elder Adams was transferred to a different district here at the MTC. It was really weird to see someone go and you only have known them for one week. So that was kind of hard to start off with. In one of our classes our teacher picked on elder Owen a bit hahaha he asked Elder Owen who his dad was in Spanish and under his breath the teacher said brother Cate hahahaha super funny. Other than that nothing has really changed but I know why I was called to speak Spanish on my mission. It’s because heavenly father knew that an English mission would be to easy... Just a thought anyways I hope you are all having a going time in the great white north. Go Bruins go. Well I can say that the weeks are going by super quick here at the MTC. I was saying to elder Owen that P day is like Christmas because you never know what you will get in your mail box hahaha Please tell everyone I’m sorry I can’t respond to everyone because of the short time I have here on the computer. But I miss everyone and i hope they know I love them all. Talk to you next Tuesday

Oct 11, 2016

Well today was an exciting day we received Jordan's email. He sounds like he is enjoying it so far....

Hello from the MTC. Well this past week has been a big change for me. Spanish is very hard but I am getting a bit more now. I can say my prayers in Spanish as well as my testimony. My companions are really awesome (Elder Owen & Elder Adams). Today is our P. day, we went through the temple for peoples endowments, the temple here is so beautiful. Weather is really really weird here kind of makes me think of home. One moment it will be rain the next it will be 40 degrees. Playing basketball down here is really fun. Everyone down here calls me Steve Nash. I would send photos but we are not able to at the MTC.
Well I have to be going now. Say hi to everyone back home at Rayco and all around town say hi to Mr. Hart for me and tell Brayden not to miss me too much when hockey comes around haha. I hope you guys know back home that I love everyone and I miss you all. I hope this mission goes by fast but not to fast. I hope that you are all doing well back home and i hope you and dad won’t be missing me too much when all the holidays start to come around. Elder Owen and me were talking about how there wasn’t going to be any Christmas music come December. I can just picture dad playing his Boney M CD as we decorate the tree. Hope Syd’s team will win Ek´s in volleyball. Anyways like i said i only have an hour here so ill write you next week at the same time love you all

Love all back home... remember that Life Is Good..
