05 March 2018

Hey Everyone.

So we had an all right week here in our area. We are still finding a lot of new people and we are really trying to work hard with them. We weren’t able to baptize anyone this week, which always makes the week harder. But we are going to be bold with them all. We are going to try to help them but we aren’t going to obligate someone to get baptized but we are going to try and be sweetly bold.

So we have this investigator Adolfo. And the guy is so close to being baptized. It’s so hard with him because he tells us that he wants to get baptized but he says he is missing something. But we have taught him everything; He even had an interview with the bishop as well as his baptism interview. It’s been really hard but we have to help them and respect the agency that he has. But I don’t think he is going to get baptized in my time here.

So we had mission counsel aging this week and it was really weird to be honest. We started talking about what happened in the month of February and how we got so close to the goal we put. We then found out that president was doing a lot of to meet the goal. I wont tell you everything he did but he did a lot.. But he was asking forgiveness from the mission. It was really good to see that he was that humble to see his mistakes. But this time the mission counsel was a lot more relaxed. We made some big changes here in the mission that’s really going to make everyone go nuts. So the biggest thing is that we are changing pday to Wednesday. So the change wont happen for awhile but if just one day you get an email for me on Wednesday you know why haha. But I really like the change because we are going to have our district counsels and weekly planning on Monday. So basically it’s still a pday but a mission pday haha.

We are still working really hard and the way we are looking right now we are going to be baptizing almost every week. Well we hope so haha. But we are teaching this one girl who has a friend that’s a member and she is progressing a bunch right now. So we aren’t able to teach in her house because her mom doesn’t like the church. So we have been teaching her in the church for almost all the lessons. I think that helps her a lot because it’s a very relaxed place and it is a place where she can feel the spirit better. She is doing really well I just hope we can actually baptize her.

So here in our zone we don’t really have the best track record. So Elder Davis and I had meeting with the zone to talk to everyone. We talk about how we need to change. We need to change for the better. So we are going to do the best we can to help our missionary’s change and we are going to change the zone forever. I was thinking about something the NHL and years ago during the playoffs. They had a quote that said History will be made. So I think I’m going to make that a thing here in Zona Nimajuyu. History will be made! Zona Nimajuyu will change for the better.

But that was really our week here. We are working really hard and doing the best we can to help the zone and help the mission. I’m really happy that I have this change to work as a leader here in the mission to help those that need help. Not just investigators but missionaries as well. Its hard work but its really fun as well. It’s been a great change so far with Elder Davis. He is a great elder and I have learned a lot from him. Plus we are pretty good friends hahah.

But thanks for everything thanks for all the love and support always! Hope you all have a great week and you are all enjoying the cold haha Take care!

Elder Nelson!
